This week’s episode of America’s Healthcare Challenge reviews some of the major themes in health policy covered so far, the pick of Rep. Paul Ryan by Mitt Romney to be the Republican Vice-Presidental nominee, and some lessons we can draw from the Massachusetts connector which of course was passed while Romney was Governor.
Once again, joined by my co-host the Good Doctor Harris Frankel, the two of us discussed the issue of healthcare access and rising health care costs. An important point to note is health care coverage only guarantees coverage and not access to quality and affordable health care. On the issue of health care cost, we discuss the issue of rising health insurance premiums and how they have essentially evaporated worker wage increases over the last three decades. We conclude with callers and what listeners can look forward to in upcoming weeks.
